the Price

We either pay the price of discipline or the price of regret. Discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.

CalorieLab

I want to introduce my clients and readers to a great site.

Calorie Lab
It is an awesome resource. It has caloric information on 70,000 of foods and packaged products (which I can’t bring myself to call food) and 500 restaurant menus. There are several tools and gadgets as well that I won’t comment on except for the state ranking link on the main page (or click this link to go there directly).

Colorado is the leanest state in the country. Mississippi is the fattest.

But as Chris Shugart points out in his article We Suck the Least, the leanest state in the country still has 55.7% of the population classified as overweight and 18.4% as clinically obese! Come on people! To steal a phrase from Timothy Ferriss, “Put the fork down”. Watch what you eat. I mean really look at it. I got an amusing Twitter this morning regarding New Years resolutions:  ”I will watch what I eat. I’ll still eat some junk food, but will be sure to stare at it intently first!”  Yes! Look at it and question your relationship with it. It’s a start.

Choices

Are you succumbing to your environment instead of following your intent?
