About David Masterson

David is a native of Southern California, born and bred in the North San Diego County surf. With a long history of endurance sports, strength training and martial arts he has embarked on a career in Fitness Training, coaching and mentoring, writing and speaking the Fitness Word.

He has three areas of passion in his work:

  • Teaching the various means of staying fit and healthy while traveling.
  • Mentoring and coaching endurance athletes (especially beginners) in strength training and conditioning beyond the swim, the bike and the run. 
  • Educating those in his age group, 45-65, that not only is fitness possible, it is desirable, fun and very beneficial.

This website focuses on the latter.
